Denver, Colorado's SPEEDWOLF are currently recording their debut full-length album to be released on Gatefold LP and CD formats via Hells Headbangers. Putrid has been enlisted for cover artwork duties and the first 100 copies will be on colored vinyl.

"If technical metal and meandering psych/prog have you looking for something more straightforward, Speedwolf is the answer. This Denver 4-piece is a no-frills thrash/punk assault on all things ironic. While many of their more successful peers are kitschy or disingenuous, Speedwolf is the real deal. Bark at the Poon (2009, self-released) has the same kind of raw, kinetic energy you find on Iron Maiden's Soundhouse Tapes or The Misfits Bullet 7". Reed Brummel's Lemmy/Danzig vocals perfectly complement the old-school tone present throughout the four songs on this tape. (Yes, as in cassette tape.) "Speedwolf" sets a creepy horror vibe before jumping into a crusty-d-beat attack. "Death Ripper" finds Brummel channeling Venom's Cronos. With raspy vocals and proto-kvlt riffs, this track could easily have come from the Black Metal sessions.

RHAPSODY OF FIRE are going to release an epic monument called: „The Cold Embrace Of Fear - A Dark Romantic Symphony".

„For this special CD we composed a unique song of around 35 minutes divided in 7 „acts". Looking at the title you can easily imagine that such long and epic song will show the most cinematic and orchestral side of our band, all our passion for the world of cinema we love so much and that always represented our main influence while composing the RHAPSODY's music", says Luca Turilli and adds: „Essentially it is a long huge song, sounding very symphonic, full of orchestral sections very soundtrack oriented, narrations and spoken parts. More than in other cases we tried to create a real movie atmosphere with very dynamic musical results, also thanks to the help of the English actors that gave voice to different charachters. You will just need to close your eyes and explore those new emotional dimensions we wrote the music for."

The lyrics of this monumental, epic symphony is based on the „dark secret saga" and represents a new chapter, directly connected with „The Frozen Tears Of Angels".

Frontiers Records is pleased to announce the digital only release of the single track “Silence” from the much anticipated album featuring the collaboration between singers Amanda Somerville and Michael Kiske on August 20th 2010.

“Silence” was written by the Primal Fear team featuring bassist / producer Mat Sinner and guitarist Magnus Karlsson. The song explores a different, more atmospheric and melodic direction for the two writers. According to Kiske “The video shoot was a long day from 6 AM to midnight, but since everyone was so nice and easy going, it was a very pleasant experience. Especially Amanda and Sander Gommans are such fine people and made it an extraordinary journey. I do like the song 'Silence' a lot, nice drama and good melodies”.

AIR Germany's unrivalled band DIE APOKALYPTISCHEN REITER announce the release of their first studio album since LICHT (2008). Regarding this still untitled opus and their upcoming show at Wacken Open Air the band has released the following statement:

There is just no rest for CALIBAN who will embark on a European tour with All That Remains, Soilwork, Neaera and Bleed From Within from end of November until short before Christmas. If you are worried about gaining a few pounds in wintertime some circle pit-action should definitely be on your agenda!

The tour underlines their status as one of Germany’s busiest live-bands and their last full European tour in support of their current album “Say Hello To Tragedy”. They will take a short break afterwards in order to concentrate on writing their next album.

After a successful tour with Parkway Drive and their labelmates from DESPISED ICON the Los Angeles based WINDS OF PLAGUE will come back for their 1st European headlining tour.

- New booking agency:

We are pleased to announce that German agency ICS Festival service GmbH, has become our booking agency for Europe (minus Norway) & Asia. ICS is a well established agency, and we are happy to be a part of their rooster. We have already started working on tours & festivals for 2011 with ICS.

- DVD coming soon:

Our first DVD is soon to be released. It will hit the streets in September (exact date will follow soon). The DVD is entitled “ Vreid Goddamnit” and will contain the complete Vreid concert at Inferno Festival, Rockefeller, Oslo, April 10th 2009. The concert was filmed with 7 cameras & mixed by Hváll at Studio1184. There is also lots of extra material at the DVD, more info on this will follow soon with the release date.

- European Tour in the autumn:

To support the release of “Vreid Goddamnit” we will do a European tour in October. The tour is almost fully booked, and info on this tour will be announced very soon.

Founding figures in the birth and construction of the black metal genre and important figures in the Norwegian scene that later became the topic of mainstream press and film documentaries, IMMORTAL remain one of thee most revered and esteemed black metal bands in all the world. Many remember the shock in 2003 when - thirteen years into their existence and one year after the band was nominated for an Alarm award for Sons Of Northern Darkness – IMMORTAL suddenly announced they would disband.

It was four years into their abrupt retirement when the men in black reconnected with their creative force and announced to their worldwide fan base that IMMORTAL would reunite and return to the stage. Luckily, every moment of IMMORTAL’s headlining reunion show at the prestigious Wacken Open Air festival in Germany in 2007 was captured for all future generations of black metal fans to enjoy.

Founded 1991 in Canada, KATAKLYSM started their battle for the top spot with the now classic EP "The Mystical Gate Of Reincarnation" as their first official release on Nuclear Blast records in 1994. The critically acclaimed follow-ups "Sorcery" (1995) and "Temple Of Knowledge" (1996) left the death metal scene breathless with its brutal yet technical and sophisticated approach.
The band continued to release top quality records like 1998's "Victims Of This Fallen World" and 2000's "The Prophecy". It seemed 2001 was the year that brought the most changes for the band: „EPIC: The Poetry Of War“ combined KATAKLYSM'S brutal side and their trademark blastbeats with brilliant hooks and melodies – the hit anthem „Manipulator Of Souls“ proves just that. The now classic "Shadows & Dust" album saw the KATAKLYSM fanbase grow even bigger: the video for the catchy title track "In Shadows & Dust" gained KATAKLYSM the title as the first death metal band to be featured on the return of MTV America's „Headbanger's Ball“.

Holocaust and Krieg formed Eastern Front at the end of 2006. With an interest in the Second World War, and its effect on Europe, they were interested in exploring the history, through music; and from a subjective, personal and emotional, point of view. Eastern Front takes a new approach to Black Metal – which has been labelled “War Torn Black Metal”. Musically, they retain a traditional Black Metal sound but experiment with other genres, like Doom, Death, folk and classical, to create a range of different atmospheres in their songs. Each song evokes the emotional experiences of battle, encompassing hope, pride, comradeship, misery, sorrow and victory.

Within a few months of forming, Eastern Front recorded a demo CD, "Promo 2007", to get other people’s opinions about the music. Due to the decision to ‘release’ the tracks and market the CD online, the CDs (limited to 350 copies) quickly sold out and the overall response was extremely positive. This encouraged the band to start working on further material to create a live set and tour. In the meantime, the demo tracks, and the further release of the track "Blood on Snow" raised the band’s profile to the extent that they beat over 150 other bands to be voted “The Metal Underground’s “Best Unsigned Metal Band 2007”.
