Hot News - Oakenshield: Studio Update
I am currently working in the studio producing three new tracks (not related to the new album). These include a re-recording of "Twa Corbies", and ancient Yorkshire folk song "Lyke Wake Dirge" and a new Bathory cover. These are the first Oakenshield recordings to feature live drums, and the tracks are gradually taking shape, with the bass, guitar and synth parts already recorded. I can't say yet when they will be released or on what format, but it will most likely be a free MP3 download including artwork etc.
With regards to the album, writing is almost complete and there just a few arrangement decisions to make before finishing off. The material is much in the same vein as "Gylfaginning" but, in my opinion, with slighter darker atmospheres. I haven't decided on a title as of yet, but all will be revealed later in the year so keep looking out for updates on here and the official site.
