Black Metallers EPISODE 13 have signed with Norway’s Misantrof ANTIRecords for the release of the band’s third full length album, which will be titled “Death Reclaims the Earth”. Misantrof, the label that was founded, and is headed by, CARPATHIAN FOREST bass player Daniel Vrangsinn, has scheduled the release of “Death Reclaims the Earth” for the autumn. “Death Reclaims the Earth” is the follow up to 2008’s “Pitch Black” and sees the return of vocalist Ozan Akyol, who, together with guitarist Murat and drummer Nursuz (ZIFIR), founded EPISODE 13 in 2001. The band’s line up, both live and on the album, includes Sermet Durusan on bass and Serkan Zengin on guitars. With Akyol, firmly back at the helm for “Death Reclaims the Earth”, EPISODE 13, one of the few Turkish bands to have gained acceptance in Europe, debuted three tracks from the album at Norway’s Inferno Festival in 2009, and spent the time since then completing work on the album, as well as touring in Russia, Finland and Denmark, and appearing at London’s Infernal Damnation Fest.

Az eredetileg egy egyszerű koncertteremként induló, mára viszont az egyik legsokrétűbb kulturális mozgalom jelképévé váló állóhajó megtartotta szokásos szezonnyitó sajtótájékoztatóját. Miután mutattak egy felvételt arról, miként lehet a hajón lévő propellerekkel, ráerősített húrokkal és erősítőkkel drone muzsikát játszani, a szokásos – de évről évre egyre jelentősebb - eredmények és tervek ismertetése mellett bejelentették a nagy hírt: bővítik a hajó területét! Természetesen a meglévő monstrumhoz egy ujjal sem nyúlnak hozzá, csupán hozzákapcsolnak egy „úszóművet”, amely kiállítóteremként, raktárként és kikötőként is szolgál. Lehet, hogy a minimalista stílusban alkotott építmény elsőre néhányaknak nem fog tetszeni, de el kell ismerni: az A38 már valóban nem csupán egy koncertterem, hanem kulturális központ is, így a bővítés elkerülhetetlen volt. Az új részleget november elején nyitják meg, elsőként Miltényi Miklós kiállítását tekintheti meg benne a nagyérdemű.

Az undergroundról is szó esett: az A38 indít egy kurátor jellegű programsorozatot, ahol ismeretlen együttesek léphetnek fel – egyelőre ismert együttesek ajánlására. Igaz, ez a rock/metal színtérből legfeljebb csak a népszerűbb bandákat/alstílusokat érintheti, azonban innen már csak egy lépés az underground illetve a rétegzenék felkarolása. Természetesen addig sem maradunk – egyelőre főleg külső szervezések hatására – metal nélkül az A38-on. Ez azért is jó hír, mert szinte minden koncertről jó minőségű felvétel készül, amikből részleteket láthatunk az A38 új csatornáján a VIDEA nevű videomegosztón, így mindenkinek juthat legalább egy apró morzsa a koncertélményből.

"Precursor to Enslavement" is taken from OCEANO's long-awaited new album, CONTAGION. The follow-up to the band's Billboard-charting 2009 debut, DEPTHS, CONTAGION features eleven brutal new tracks and is due to be released in North America on November 9th. The album will be released in Europe on January 17th, 2011.

Singapore grindcore trio WORMROT have regretfully had to delay the start of their US tour by a few days.

The band, which was due to perform with labelmates ORDER OF ENNEAD at Santos Party House in New York City tonight (September 2nd), have been forced to postpone the start of the "Abusing US" tour due to visa delays. WORMROT will now be arriving in the USA on September 4th and will be kicking off the tour on September 6th in Cleveland, Ohio. The band apologises to their fans, but will be rescheduling the New York show for a new date towards the end of the tour.

WORMROT frontman ARIF ROT comments:

"I'm off to the airport this Friday night to catch our early as fuck flight to the States the next day. Everything has been prepared and we are pumped as fuck to start abusing the USA. LET'S FUCKING GO!"

Metal Blade Records is pleased to announce the signing of New Haven, CT black metal band IPSISSIMUS. The band inked a worldwide deal with Metal Blade Records and will be entering Sonic Environments studio in Bloomfield, CT to record their first full-length album and Metal Blade debut. Longtime friend of His Emissary, Jeff Weed, is not only the owner of Sonic Environments studio but has also stepped in as the band's "sonic alchemist" (aka engineer/producer). IPSISSIMUS began recording in June 2010 and are taking a short break before returning to Sonic Environments studio in early September to finish the record. Their feature full-length will include the band's EP Three Secrets of Fatima along with three new songs.

IPSISSIMUS drummer Haimatokharmes comments; "Metal Blade is a label that has been home to artists brutal, technical, filthy, blasting, wildly successful, and, most importantly, unique. Ipsissimus is very proud to join this family, and looks forward to adoring the Goat with them by producing ritual black metal that is truly ipsissima!"

The news of Strangeways reunion with American singer Terry Brock leaked when the announcement of Firefest 2010 festival line-up was launched with the inclusion of the band in the “Native Sons”/”Walk in the Fire” line-up on the bill. This came as a big surprise to many, since probably very few people would have hoped to see Brock crossing the ocean again and even less could think of a brand new Strangeways recording with the singer together with guitarist Ian J. Stewart, new bassist Warren Jolly, drummer Jim Drummond and keyboard player Dave "Munch" Moore.

Still the Strangeways reunion is now reality and the newly recorded studio album “Perfect World” will be released on Frontiers Records on October 15th in Europe and October 26th in the US.

Turning back the clock in 1986, Strangeways released their self titled debut for Bonaire/Arista Records. “Strangeways” received rave reviews, particularly from the british press which saw the potential for the band to break on to the US market. By the time the album hit the shops, original singer Tony Liddell had already been replaced by Brock who was persuaded to join the band by the album’s producer Kevin Elson (Journey, Europe etc.). Strangeways toured intensely supporting Europe, Bryan Adams and Meat Loaf but it was the following year’s “Native Sons” album that chiselled in stone the name of the band, who produced a full-blown melodic rock masterpiece, hailed by Kerrang! magazine as “the greatest and most preciously perfect AOR album of all time”.

Marc Grewe (vocals) states: “This video features the guy from our “Shadowcast” album cover. His name is Roar Hoch-Nielsen. The story behind it is obvious. Roar has the role of a loving father and husband with this kind of funny hobby. He likes to read rifle magazines and after the family went to bed he is starting his obscure work.

My part in the video is being the ‘electric eye’ filming his work. We think that something like this happens; we had a case in Austria, where this guy tortured his own daughter for over 25 years. He made everyone believe that he was a loving and caring father, but that clearly wasn’t the case. Something like this could happen right now. Maybe it´s your neighbour who seems to be the nicest person around, but behind closed doors the dark abyss of abnormality is the total reality.

SADIST, VIRGIN SNATCH, CRIONICS are heading for a tour consisting of 28 concerts across central and western Europe during September and October 2010. Once the first part of „Beware Of Your Neck” tour is done, SADIST, CRIONICS and VIRGIN SNATCH under the same banner will also visit in early 2011 other European countries, such as Germany, Holland, Belgium, France, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Romania, Bulgaria and Hungary.

The line-up for Polish leg is completed by CEREBRUM (hailing from Greece), TEHACE (PL) and SARATAN (PL).

This is going to be SADIST’s first-ever live appearance in Poland where the band had always been critically acclaimed for their previous albums - "Above The Light", "Tribe" and "Crust". These Italian unquestioned masters of progressive death/thrash metal are currently promoting their latest opus "Seasons In Silence" at summer festivals around Europe.

Stormwitch are next to Helloween the biggest German heavy metal legend ever to walk this planet. Their career started in the 80’s with a string of successful albums and lasted until 1994, when the group disbanded due to personal differences. Fortunately, Stormwitch returned in 2002 with a new line-up and a new album, “Dance with the Witches”. Two years later the band released “Witchcraft” – one of their finest works yet. Metal Mind Productions presents the exclusive reissue of “Witchcraft” which brings the ultimate version of a true heavy metal masterpiece…

The group was originally formed in 1979 in Heidenheim, Baden Württemberg, Germany by vocalist Andy Mück and guitarists Harald Spencer (aka Lee Tarot) and Stefan Kaufmann (Steve Merchant). Bassist Ronny “Pearson” Gleisberg and drummer Peter “Lancer” Langer joined the band in 1983. The band officially debuted in 1984 on the “1. Rock-Fabrik Festival ‘84” live compilation album (where they played along Restless, Tyran’s Pace and Cacumen). In the same year Stormwitch managed to release their stellar debut LP – “Walpurgis Night” – which became an instant success and gathered great opinions from both critics and fans. The following years brought more great albums, all considered today as metal classics: “Tales of Terror” (1985), “Stronger Than Heaven” (1986), “The Beauty and the Beast” (1987) and “Eye of the Storm” (1989). The 1990’s brought some significant line-up changes, as both original guitarists decided to quit the band. The group carried on with new musicians and recorded two more LPs – “War of the Wizards” (1992) and “Shogun” (1994) – until finally disbanding by the end of 1994.

A brand new video clip of DEATH’s Chuck Schuldiner during a promotional trip in Europe in 1991 has been posted online now at this location. The clip was shot and edited by DEATH manager Eric Greif who was with Schuldiner during the trip. The three-minute video shows highlights from the cross-country trip, culminating with Schuldiner’s interview for MTV’s ‘Headbanger’s Ball’ at the MTV studios in London.

DEATH has recently seen the bulk of the band’s catalog made available for the first time digitally. It’s legendary albums ‘Scream Bloody Gore’, ‘Leprosy’, ‘Spiritual Healing’, ‘Human’, ‘Individual Thought Patterns’, and ‘The Sound Of Perseverance’ are available now at this location.

Relapse is set to release an expanded version of the classic debut album, ‘The Fragile Art Of Existence’, from Chuck Schuldiner’s progressive heavy metal band CONTROL DENIED this October. The expanded version of “The Fragile Art of Existence” will include bonus tracks, extra band photography, expanded art and packaging and more. Full details on this release will be announced shortly.

Továbbá beszámolnánk arról, hogy végre itt a nyár, kezdődnek a fesztiválok, játszunk mindenhol, minden időben. Elég jó lesz, köszönjük mindenkinek, aki majd támogat minket ezen a nyáron is, sokan lesztek, sokat fogtok énekelni, mi meglepően sokat fogunk dedikálni, és természetesen jól fogunk járni anyagilag is.
